Know where your case data is held.
E-Hounds operates a self-hosted review platform built on iConect Xera. Our processing and hosted review environment uses E-Hounds-owned infrastructure rather than AWS, Azure, or another public-cloud host.
This gives counsel, receivers, and corporate legal departments a defined answer to where their review data resides and who controls the environment. Encryption at rest, two-factor authentication, role-based access, and audit trails support that control.
From collection through production.
Collection and processing
Forensic intake from servers, workstations, laptops, mobile devices, and cloud platforms. Email sources include Gmail, Google Vault, Microsoft 365, and Exchange. Collected material is processed on-premise.
Isolated review environments
We host separate review environments for parties working on the same matter. Our work has included simultaneous, isolated access for SEC enforcement and a court-appointed receiver reviewing the same underlying dataset independently.
Production and testimony
Structured productions use the formats and load files required by your team or co-counsel. Our analysts can provide expert testimony about collection, processing, and review methodology.
Security requirements, addressed during scoping.
Platform details and supporting documentation are available under appropriate confidentiality during engagement scoping. The existing platform and infrastructure descriptions distinguish certification from alignment and capability:
- SOC 2 Type II: the iConect platform is independently certified for security, availability, and confidentiality controls.
- FISMA / NIST 800-53: infrastructure aligned with federal information security management standards.
- CJIS compatible: on-premise architecture supports Criminal Justice Information Services policy requirements.
- NIST 800-171 ready: infrastructure capable of supporting Controlled Unclassified Information handling requirements.
Read the platform security detail for the controls and operating model.
Scoping the engagement.
Describe the sources, custodian count, estimated data volume, review parties, and production deadline. Include any access restrictions or security requirements that should shape the review environment.
